I work where the map runs out.
I lead commercial at Cycles, a startup rethinking how money moves. I also cofounded OZ21, which provides computing for blockchain and AI.
The work that pulls me in is usually uncharted: a new technology that has outrun the rules around it and still has to find its place in the world. Building it is rarely the hard part. The harder problem, and the one I’ve spent most of my career working on, is getting exceptional products into the hands of the people who need them.
My career has taken me to interesting places, like Shark Tank diligence, a wine label, SaaS acquisitions, a digital art marketplace, AI trust infrastructure, and venture investing. The industries changed, but the challenge rarely did. I started at KPMG before moving to O’Leary Ventures, where I worked on Shark Tank investments. At FreshBooks, I joined pre–Series A in product as the company scaled into a fintech unicorn, then helped build the corporate development function and led two acquisitions that accelerated growth.
Since then I’ve focused on frontier technology, working with companies including SuperRare and EQTY Lab, and serving as a Venture Partner at AGE Fund, where I led three early-stage investments in fintech and blockchain.
Today I lead commercial at Cycles and cofounded OZ21, computing infrastructure for AI and blockchain networks.
Originally from Toronto, I now live in Manhattan Beach with my wife and son. The longer version reads as a series of chapters.
